Susan Reid comes to the Survivorship Program with 20 years of experience working in the field of Mental Health and Addictions, Domestic Violence, and Youth Justice.  She worked as a Recreation Therapist at the Brantford General Hospital in the Inpatient/ Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions Program.  At the Brantford General Susan developed an Ontario Best Practice Program focusing on Vocational training for those diagnosed with Serious Mental Illness.  Susan obtained an honours degree in social development studies with a minor in youth psychology from the University of Waterloo. The focus of her thesis research was Attachment disorders and the impact of such on Adult relationships.  Susan also obtained her Bachelors of Social work from the University of Waterloo specializing in Aborginal Studies and Gerentology.  She recently graduated from the University of Toronto with her Masters of Social Work specializing in Health and Mental Health Practice. Susan did her Master's clinical work with Scott Secord in the Cancer Survivorship Program.  Susan's area of research interests include Body image and Sexuality issues for Breast and Gynecological Cancer Survivors, Benefits and income support for Cancer Survivors, Patient navigation in cancer care, and Fitness and Exercise for Cancer Survivors.
