Aleksandra Chafranskaia is a graduate from Lviv Medical School in Ukraine and a registered Physiotherapist in Ontario. She has been working in Toronto at the University Healthy Network Hospital since 1993 as staff physiotherapist and practice leader. She earned her Masters in Health Science degree from the University of Toronto in the summer of 2006 and has since been working at Princess Margaret Hospital Survivorship Program as Clinical Lead. She has led the development of lymphedema, fatigue, function & mobility, healthy weight, healthy bones and neuro-cognitive clinical care for breast and gynecologic cancer patients at PMH. She has developed a special interest in raising awareness of long-term and late effects of cancer among patients and health care providers and promoting self-management strategies for their treatment.
