With an expertise in social work, education, and radiation therapy, Audrey Jusko Friedman’s work focuses on program development and evaluation in patient education and cancer survivorship, as well as health professional education.  Ms. Friedman has led the development, implementation and evaluation of many educational initiatives to improve the patient and family education provincially, nationally and internationally and to improve the patient teaching competencies of healthcare providers.
In 1999, Ms. Jusko Friedman established patient education as an organizational priority in Canada's largest comprehensive cancer centre and provides leadership for a hospital-wide infrastructure for Patient Education and Survivorship activities. Most recently, in her role as an Associate Director for ELLICSR, Ms. Friedman is working to establish a comprehensive curriculum of education and self management programs and services to support a growing community of cancer survivors.
