Doris Howell

Dr. Howell as a graduate of the Department of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation in the outcome evaluation stream has an active health intervention research focus on effectiveness of models of care/best practice implementation to improving patient experience of cancer. Also an active clinical trials focus on complex symptom problems in cancer with an emphasis on the role of cognitive-perceptual processes on symptom distress and self-management behaviors. This research is focused on survivors symptoms during the treatment and post-treatment  follow-up period to determine if early rehabilitation/self-management interventions can reduce persistent symptoms post treatment.
