Dr. Sara Urowitz is the Manager of Educational Informatics and ELLICSR: Health, Wellness and Cancer Survivorship Centre at Princess Margaret Hospital/University Health Network, and an assistant professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Health Management, Policy and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. She is engaged in projects that explore the using innovative approaches as a means for educating and empowering survivors to become active participants in their own health care experience.  Her interests are focused on understanding how to activate people to be participants in their own health and wellness. Dr. Urowitz holds a MA in Medical Ethics from the University of Virginia, a MSW from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Health Policy and Bioethics from the University of Toronto.
