Ingredients

1 cupGround Almonds (almond flour)
1 cupGround Oats(oat flour)
4 tbspMaple Syrup
2 tbspFresh Ginger, grated
1/2 tsp eachGround Cinnamon & Ground Ginger
1/2 cupPasteurized Egg Whites (or 4 large egg whites)
1/4 tspSea Salt

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix the ground almonds, oat flour, ground cinnamon and ground ginger in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Whisk the egg whites, maple syrup, fresh ginger and sea salt in another bowl.
  4. Slowly add the dry ingredient into the wet and mix until combined.
  5. Roll out about 1 tablespoon scoops onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Gently flatten each to a ¼ inch thickness.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes.

Nutrition

  • Nausea is a common side effect of cancer and cancer treatment. If you have been given a prescription for anti-nausea medication, it is important to take them as prescribed by your doctor. There are also things you can try with your food and drink to make eating easier, such as drinking small amounts of fluid often during the day and avoiding certain foods.

  • Feeling nauseous? Ginger contains gingerol, a compound that may help improve appetite and digestion, and may prevent nausea. The jury is still out on whether ginger helps with nausea caused by chemotherapy, but it seems to be helpful for preventing post-surgery nausea in some people.
