  • Cancer can be an illness that leaves you with chronic inflammation. Some studies suggest that what you eat can help decrease your inflammation rather than taking medications. However, remember to talk to your doctor if you have been prescribed meds for your inflammation before stopping them altogether.
  • Try limiting your consumption of fast foods and processed foods. You want to enrich your diet with anti-inflammatory foods like: fruits (strawberries, peaches, blueberries, oranges), vegetables (leafy greens like spinach, kale), olive oil, almonds, walnuts, and fatty fish.
  • Store up on frozen fruit and vegetables: Don't be turned off frozen fruit and vegetables. They can be just as tasty and nutritious as fresh ingredients, especially during the "off-season". The best part is that all the washing and preparation is already done for you. They should last up to a few months in the freezer and help to create quick meals when you don't have much energy.
