3 cups (1 340g package)Fresh cranberries
1Lime, zest and juice
1 tbspGinger, freshly grated
1 tspGround Ginger
1/4 cupBrown Sugar
1/4 cupWater


  1. ​Add all ingredients to a small saucepot over medium high heat.
  2. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer.
  3. Simmer until the cranberry skins pop. Cook for a longer time for a thicker sauce.

  • In cell studies, antioxidants in cranberries have been shown to reduce the growth of several types of cancer and to cause cancer cells to self-destruct.
  • Feeling nauseous? You may find ginger helpful. The jury is still out on whether ginger helps with nausea caused by chemotherapy, but it seems to be helpful for preventing post-surgery nausea in some people.
